It is the responsibility of each unit or area to arrange
insurance for its own property.
Craft, aviation and
associated equipment
Members can obtain insurance cover for craft, aviation
activities and associated equipment through Girlguiding UK 's insurance service. A condition
of the policy is that the craft must be examined annually and
issued with a Girlguiding UK Boat Certificate from the
Information Team.
Personal
Possesions
Girlguiding UK cannot insure against the loss
or theft of personal possessions.
It should be ensured that items are covered
under household insurance or that separate cover is arranged.
Unity Insurance
can assist with this.
If travelling abroad, check with your travel
insurance policy for cover of personal possessions.
Other
insurances
Other insurances can also be arranged through Girlguiding UK's insurance service,
including:
- money held in trust
- cancellation costs
- special activity insurances
- buildings, property and equipment insurance
- travel insurance
- depot/shop insurance
- marine insurance
- aviation insurance
- motor, minibus, trailers and campsite vehicles
- other miscellaneous policies
