Joint activities with The Scout

Description
A camp, event or activity run jointly by
Guiding and Scouting volunteers for participants from both
organisations.
Regulations
Activity and residential regulations should be
observed as follows:
- Leaders should refer to the activity
guidelines of both Associations, and where regulations differ
should follow whichever are stricter. Contact your Outdoor
Activities Adviser or activities@girlguiding.org.uk
if you are unsure.
- Where only one Association provides
guidelines on a particular activity those guidelines should be
followed.
- For activities not listed in either
Association’s guidelines, Leaders should follow the safety rules of
the national governing body in consultation with the appropriate
Commissioners and Advisers.
- Approval for joint activities to take place
must come from the relevant Commissioners and Advisers of both
Associations.
- Scout Association members and volunteers
taking part in a joint activity with Girlguiding UK do not need to
complete Girlguiding UK recruitment checks.
Useful

Ensure that members of Girlguiding UK do not
take part in non-guiding activities.
